Little Black Dress Review
You know that moment when you put on a dress and instantly think, “This is going in the keep pile — but only if my Spanx stays in rotation? That was me with the Glenda dress. It’s clingy in all the places I’d rather it wasn’t, but it’s so comfortable and chic that I forgive it instantly.
First things first—it’s so soft. Crafted from a Pima cotton jersey with just enough spandex, it feels like wearing your favorite tee… only your favorite tee that happens to make you look pulled together without even trying. The crew neckline is a clean, blank canvas—perfect for necklaces and scarves, and the side ruching is subtle but flattering. It creates shape without adding bulk. This looks chic and is the perfect packable dress for travel.
Truth be told- this dress does cling. And if, like me, you've got a belly bulge that really bulges, Spanx or liposuction is suggested. To help hide my bulge, I adorned Spanx (no liposuction for me) and a jacket which allowed me to feel confident and professional.
I love flexibility in my clothes and the Glenda dress delivers. If I want to dress it up even more, I can throw on beautiful earrings and a necklace. It’s a total “throw-on-and-go” hero: slip it on for errands and flats, add a blazer or MM LaFluer jardigan (which I also love) or accessorize for an evening out with a blazer and statement earrings.
Just to be clear — I bought this dress with my own money, and M.M.LaFleur has no idea I’m writing this. No freebies, no sponsorships, just me and my honest opinion.
MM LaFluer Glenda Dress
No belly bulge on this model. My version looks little different.
So what’s your favorite go-to outfit when you don’t want to work too hard to pull yourself together?
